Earlier this year, BlackBerry & Mippin informed users of the BlackBerry App Generator that the service would be shut down on May 29th, and that the apps would be removed from BlackBerry World by December 31, 2015. Mippin provided confirmation today that they will be migrating those apps to the Amazon App Store before end of 2015!
As you’ll remember, BlackBerry discontinued support for the BlackBerry App Generator in May 2015. As you have already migrated your app on the Mippin App Generator, we’ve been able to support your BlackBerry App in BlackBerry World until the end of 2015.
We now have some great news!
In line with BlackBerry’s strategy to support consumer apps with the Amazon App Store, we are now migrating your app to the Amazon App Store. You don’t need to do anything - we’ll simply rebuild your BlackBerry app and submit it to the Amazon App Store next week - no hassle, no additional cost! Thereafter, not only will BlackBerry users have access to your app via the Amazon App Store on BlackBerry 10 devices, but millions more users will have access to your app through Amazon supported devices.
Please note, your app in BlackBerry World will be unpublished by BlackBerry at the end of 2015.
We appreciate your support of the Mippin App Generator and look forward to continue supporting your apps.
