It looks as though RIM plans to amp up it's photo editing capabilities for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform, and possibly before that, the BlackBerry PlayBook. Recent leaked slides and video show that a photo editing app is in the works, however, not complete yet. I for one am excited to see this, as RIM has never been really known for their photo editing capabilities, and this would also draw in many photo taking enthusiasts - which is basically everyone who owns a phone with a camera.
The native app is called Photo Editor, and looks to have some TAT (The Astonishing Tribe) influence on it, as well as some Instagram-like features. One of the features is a 'swipe up' to add certain filters to the photo. You can continue to swipe up on other filters to change them as well. Very interactive.
