The latest BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha
update is now prompting to install BlackBerry Link when connecting the device to a Mac or Windows. As you can see from the above screenshot, the device initiates a screen prompt to install
BlackBerry Link. It also gives the option to install the software by going to
www.blackberry.com/blackberrylink. The webpage is not active yet, so it's a no go on installing either way... for now.
When plugging in the device, you may also see this window pop-up. The actual executable is located within the Dev Alpha device. To actually install though, you will need to connect to RIM's server.
The start installation screen is as far as you will get. If you do click 'Download and Install' you will be quickly denied and brought to a screen which gives you the option to 'try again,' 'install drivers only,' or 'cancel.'
This isn't the first time we have seen or heard about BlackBerry Link. This last November we saw a few
leaked screenshots at what the UI is suppose to look like.
