If you have had any doubts as to the power and efficiency of how BlackBerry 10 will handle loading application, take a look at this latest app opening test video from TheGadgetMasters.com
. The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B is put up against the Samsung Galaxy S3 to see what platform opens up the game application first. The game app being used for the test is called, Eggventure
Device Spec Comparison:
- The Dev Alpha B is running 10.0.9.1675. Samsung Galaxy S3 is running Android 4.0.
- The Dev Alpha B is powered by dual-core TI OMAP 4470, while the Galaxy S3 runs on quad-core Exynos.
Although the Samsung Galaxy S3 has quad-core processors to the BlackBerry 10's dual-core, the BlackBerry 10 OS still wins out by about 3 seconds faster in loading the game. This just goes to show that size doesn't always matter (pun intended), but the efficiency and how well the OS renders content is what is key. Some would even argue (including myself) that because the Android OS is so bloated that it must have a quad-core to run well at all.
In this second video, the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device tests faster than the Samsung Galaxy S3 in a browser speed test. What really sticks out here is the fact that the BB10 browser loads the YouTube video much faster. This is very important to note as YouTube videos are rather load heavy on any website.
So what's the conclusion of these test results here? It's obvious, BlackBerry 10 (in a beta stage) is already beating out one of the most current popular phones, the Samsung Galaxy S3. In addition, we have already seen other videos showing BlackBerry 10 beating out the iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8
in browser speed tests. Enough said.
