• Accessory Review: Trident Aegis Case For BlackBerry Passport

Regardless of how careful I try to be with my new devices, they are always bound to be dropped off a table or some other object. I'm currently on a search for the perfect case that brings comfort, but also protection to my device. Today, we'll take a few moments to look at the Trident Aegis Case For BlackBerry Passport.

I've always heard positive things about the cases made by Trident, and was intrigued by the Military Tested Standards this case apparently was bestowed. Aegis cases feature an inner-layer of shock-absorbing silicone with an outer-layer of hardened polycarbonate, providing two layers of protection.

These cases also includes dust filters to protect speaker bays, and a self-applicable screen protector for reliable screen protection.

    Pros:
    • Easy access to covered ports/buttons
    • Protects all areas that would be scratch-prone.
    • Easily slides in/out of pockets

    Cons:
    • Bulky in pocket
    • Not holster compatible
    • Lack of available colors (Black, White)

Overall, the Trident Aegis Case For BlackBerry Passport provides a great heavy duty, stylish & protective case. It's certainly more protectively engineered than aesthetically designed, but for those who #WorkWide this should be a strong consideration for protecting their beloved Passport.

From the time we've received this case, it would seem that Trident has discontinued the case and/or removed it from their lineup. The cases are still available for purchase via Amazon in Black & White variants.
