BlackBerry Theme Studio is a free and powerful device personalization suite of tools that includes the Theme Builder for creating themes, and the BlackBerry Composer for creating animations and graphics to use in themes.

This new release of Theme Studio makes it even easier for users and professional designers to customize virtually everything, including backgrounds, sound effects and ringtones, icons and menus, and fonts. You can even add animations and screen transitions. Among the exciting new features are:

A new user interface for Theme Builder that lets you click on any item on the preview and directly edit its settings.

Wakai by Hedone Design is one of those themes that you love at first sight. Everything is professional-the layout, the icons, and all the other little pieces of this theme that make it a whole.

When I first used Wakai, I was amazed at how functional it was. Almost every useful application has a shortcut on the homescreen, which makes it extremely useful to the user. This week's Theme Thursday I'll be reviewing Ciel by Raypho, and introducing a new rating system!

Ciel is one of those themes which you would use for a while, change it, then come back to it. Despite some disadvantages, this theme is functional and useful, 2 good things every theme developer strives to achieve.With a weather slot and hideable dock, this is a theme you'll be sure to keep.

The homescreen is very organized, with a hidden dock to show off your wallpaper, a weather slot to get quick access to, well, the weather, and an extremely creative Sound Profile 'toolbar'. This theme doesn't leave you with a big smile on your face, as there are some annoying parts – admittedly not very big problems, just little annoying features.
