Smarter Apps has just released the first free beta version of an app that allows Google+ users to access their Google+ accounts natively using their BlackBerry smartphones. The free app is called App For Google+ and it is now live in BlackBerry App World! Download the app and be sure to join the BlackBerryOS.com community by following our Google+ page.

Features of the Google+ app for BlackBerry include:
- View your stream, post to your stream, checkin, upload photos to your stream
- View your photos and photos from people in your circles
- Add, edit, delete people and circles
- View and edit your own Google+ profile
- Support for all BlackBerry OS 5 and above devices except the
BlackBerry PlayBook

Some features of the Google+ app for BlackBerry that are not yet
available include:

Even with a crazy week of PlayBook OS 2.0 releasing, RIM is still finding time to quietly update some of it's native apps for BlackBerry devices.

Upon waking up today, I noticed that BlackBerry Travel had been updated to v2.0.40.99, but without a changelog. Likely it's for bug fixes.

With Facebook for BlackBerry v3.0 launching this morning, we had a feeling the Beta Zone wasn't done releasing apps today. Well we were right, Twitter for BlackBerry v3.0 is now available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone and brings with it BBM integration. Now, we can all not only annoy our followers with our tweets but we can bug our BBM contacts that don't use Twitter as well.

With the release of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 (#TwosDay) today, BlackBerry users are thrilled as another update makes its way through BlackBerry App World. While I had hoped that the OS 2.0 would trigger a spree of many updates, I wondered if it would actually happen. While this is only one app, it's still a major app as well as the fact that it's only been a few hours between the two. Does this mean more updates our way? We'll have to wait in see. What's new for BBM v6.1.0.70:

• Even more emoticons to pick from
• Double the space for updating your Personal Message
• Customize the chat bubble colors for each of your contacts
