You can restore it by using a autoloader installer for your Z10. What is the model of your Z10? You can check by looking at the tag underneath your battery. It should say something like STL100-X.

Let me know and I can point you in the right direction.

This is the OS you need for your Z10... Z10_STL100-2and3_10.1.0.1627 - Downloads - BlackBerryOS.com

Keep in mind that installing this OS will wipe your phone and erase any data that was on it before.

    To install...

    1. Turn off your phone.
    2. Run the .exe OS loader and wait till it says "connecting to bootrom"
    3. Plug phone into computer with USB and turn on.
    4. Update will start and green LED may come on.
    5. Wait till phone is completely updated before unplugging from USB.

Joe, if you do a backup before loading 10.1 will it restore accounts and data or is all lost by doing it this way? I would love to get 10.1 now but not sure the data loss and re-setup of everything is worth it

You may have to connect it to your computer with Blackberry Link software and reload your OS. Download the software and install, connect your Zed and select settings and click on reload software. Let us know if you are able to do this. Here is the link for it:BlackBerry Link - BlackBerry 10 Smartphone to Computer Sync - Canada

If you do a back up and then a partial restore with what you want to restore, you won't be duplicating the problem from the previous applications. If that is what you are asking. If you are just asking about your data being reloaded if you update, then you can put it all back, no problem.

If all else fails, you may need to intentionally brick your phone. You can achieve this by running the Auto Loader you downloaded. As soon as it begins to write (after it says connecting to bootrom) unplug your device from the computer. At this point you'll see the LED flashing red 3x. Close the auto loader and reconnect your device to the computer and open link. Click the "Reload" button and this will install your Carriers OS.
You can also use this process to roll back to your Carrier's OS if you've installed a leak and don't like it.

This has worked for me in the past.
