Thread: Z10 to playbook bridge?

I'm sorry if there is already post relating to this i had a quick look but couldn't see anything. When I was using my trusty old 9800 everyday for work the think that set my colleagues and their iPhone /S3 apart from me was the fact I could use my PlayBook to check emails from my phone text messages and BBM my missus without taking my phone out of my pocket, I maintain generators and ups for data centres all over the Island and manufacturers could send me wiring diagrams and plans whilst on site and I could view them easily on the bigger screen of the tablet but now I get my z10 and find all of the connectivity between my devices has been taken away hiw can the bridge take such a large step backwards? Does anybody know if this will change when bb10 comes to playbook and WHEN it is coming????
On another note is there anyway I can set different tones for different email addresses as you could on previous bbs because I can't find a way on my z10.

Don't get me wrong I like my new device and mostly it does what I want it too but with some things it feels like a step backwards with what seem so like simple fixes

I don't have the Z10 yet, but I have heard that Bridge has been reduced quite a bit. Its sad to reduce such an incredible tool from BlackBerry, but lets hope they have a good reason for doing so.

I'm assuming we'll see better Bridge integration when the PlayBook gets BB10.

nope, i dont think u can set differnt tones for differnt emails.

I'm hoping that it gets a good upgrade.. I miss using my PlayBook for my everyday use

I own a z10 and i doubt we see bridge working fully until the playbook which i own as well is update to bb10.

I h0pe BB 10 will be coming soon to the Playbook!! Miss the old BB bridge!!!

I agree, we definitely won't see anything special till the PB gets a good update

Will the PB by upgrade this year with BB10 or there is still to much devises running with OS 6-7 and the PB.

Expect the PlayBook to be upgraded before 2013 ends.

BlackBerry has said 2-3 months after the phones release, so it could be from Z10 or Q10 release, but regardless, the PlayBook will get BlackBerry 10.

Keep your eyes peeled to the site, BlackBerry Live coming in a few weeks, expect some exciting news! (not saying BB10 on PlayBook will happen, just exciting in general)

IMO, the PlayBook is a very good tablet without the bridge feature, however the bridge concept enhances the ability of the blackberry phone and the blackberry Playbook combined, with BB10 for the PlayBook on the horizon (I hope), it will just make the experience that more satisfying
