    Stief - you funny! :chairfall:

I thought about doing that, just because. I just didn't know what country to use as an excuse. I might pick one with extradition laws.

See thats whats great about the beloved storm, RIM doesnt tie your hands and tell you what you can run on the phone, so any compatible program or app will run. Apple wants a piece of everything, thats why they cripple the phone to only allow certain things that they have to approve first, thats why you need to unlock an I-Brick, and not a storm. Unless like others have mentioned, if your traveling internationally. The storm has "room to explore" already, lol.

I have mine unlocked so I can use a country specific SIM when I travel to Asia and the Caribbean. When I called for the unlock code and procedure I explained I needed a local # when traveling overseas, my vendor wouldn't call me on my US #from China only to tell me his car would pick me up in 10. It would cost him $10.00. No problem, they understood perfectly.

I'm one of those people who bought a Storm to use on another carrier because I liked the phone and what it could do. But the main reason that I did is that I have a fantastic rate plan that I do not want to give up. So in order to keep the rate plan, I buy phones off of ebay. Would most people do this, no, but I did it to save money on the phone bill while still getting a great phone.

The sim card is actually what locks the Storm to VZW. All I had to do was take out the sim card and go into the CDMA programming mode and change the info to Alltel's information. I was surprised how easy it was and it worked great on Alltel.
