Did work at once stage but I can't remeber how I got it right. It is only on 5.0 builds. Have gone back to 4.7 a few days and then back to 5.0 with no luck. On 4.7 the browser works but have now mms.

Tried restoring 4.7 service books with now luck.

Your carrier probably does not support or have the 5.0 service books yet telus users had this problem until the carrier u[dated the service books... you can try this http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/b...tml#post127460

    Try this guide: http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/b...ing-bbsak.html

If that doesn't work either, it looks like you're stuck with either going back to a supported OS, or waiting it out until the carrier does get the proper service books.

Dial *147# this should update your prl's through Vodacom and Cell C, follow the voice prompts, after programing remove your battery for minute or two, reinstall, resend your service books and host routing tables.

Got it to work. Went into service book, typed: alt+SBEB (to enable Legacy SB Restore Enable). Restored the service books from the post here as per your advice to follow the thread to restorem but i never removed any cod files.

    Now finally its working :hail:

    Here is what i did:

    1. Backed my service provider service books up to ipd file.
    2. converted both att and my service books to xml file with bb-0.3
    3. Used xml editor to combine the two and removed duplicated service books and unwanted entries
    4. converted back to ipd with above program.
    5. Used MagicBerry to edit some of the books form att to be similar as my service provder's books.
    6. Restored the ipd file with desktop manager.

Well seems like my happiness was short lived. Vodacom pushes the service books out after awhile and breaks the browser again. Any ideas on how to stop it form download the service books ?

I have a rough idea but not exactly sure how it would be done. A while back there was a browser hack to enable unlimited file size download from the BB Browser using service books from another carrier. It essentially created another browser on the phone. Maybe you could take that hack and apply to what you've already done to create another browser that doesn't get overwritten.

Download ANY file size via BlackBerry Browser
