    Can't get Pc to reconize my Tour

    installed the newest BB desktop software and drivers !

    im running windows 7

    Please help

    What happens when you plug your phone in? Are you using a USB hub? Have you tried a different USB cable? Did you try restarting your computer?

    Restarted my times , when i plug it in the BB lights up and a clock shows on the screen then Nothing

    only have 1 usb cable that will fit the phone and its connected directly to my PC ( like i did with my windows mobile phone )

    If you get the clock, you are in Sleep Mode which suggests that power is flowing from the PC and the drivers are installed properly (because if you connect improperly you get a message on your screen saying that either the USB port is not sufficiently powered or your USB drivers are not installed).

    What exactly are you trying to do? Desktop Manager?

    If you want to move stuff off the SD card, then make sure you have Mass Storage Mode enabled.. it's somewhere in options, I forget exactly where.. the default is to ask when you plugin in BB... should get a popup on BB that asks if you want Mass Storage Mode.. click Yes if you see it. If you don't see it and have Mass Storage Mode enabled, then you might have a driver problem.

    Does Desktop Manager show your Blackberry PIN in the bottom when you connect by data cable?

    Have you ever been able to connect it with WIN7 on there?

    Try launching DM and while the Berry is connected do a battery pull and wait 30 seconds before re inserting the battery and see if it recognizes then.

    you have to have mass storage mode on and it has to automatically connect when connected to a pc

    No i just got it a few hours before i made the orginal post

    tried the battery pull and no go


    i have both mass media on and auto connect on


    i think im going to go in to the repair center and have then check it i think something may be wrong with it

    I believe you have to use DM 5.0 or better for the PC to recognize your tour. You can download directly from blackberry.com, under Desktop Software. You should see it on the left hand column once you are on the site.

    Try using DM 4.7. Some people were having issues with 5.0. Be sure to uninstall 5.0 or whatever you currently have installed, reboot your computer, then install 4.7.

    i did lastnight i wasnt sure if not how do i remove them
