Thread: What is the difference between BIS and BES?

What is BIS and BES? Is it just another name for my personal email? Corporate? I have two email accounts:

My blackberry.net (the one with my Verizon account)
My personal/work (pop3 email account)

Which of these am I using? BIS? Or BES? The reason I ask is that I'm seeing more folder options for one vs. the other. For example, in my messaging options there is a selection for "hide filed messages". But I have no menu option in the message to file it!? I'm a little lost here.

I know this has been covered in detail, but it seems no one has a straight answer.

BIS: Blackberry Internet Service would be for an individual
BES: Blackberry Enterprise Service would be more for a corporate server

Your VZW and pop email account would utilize BIS

This. Think about it as a Blackberry for INDIVIDUALS Service.

great answers guys.. One thing I would check is always your bill, if you dont need the exchange service make sure you are only getting charged 29.99 for email and web. I have seen alot of people paying the 44.99 and have no idea
