Hey cooltech.

Initial experience was very positive.... but device always randomly gets laggy without any extra apps other than facebook and MSN downloaded (but closed). Hardware problems (defective trackball). I am also one of the poor saps who can't load the 5 OS betas.

I'm waiting for a swap unit and am on a TP2 until then. Both great phones. I've got Autotext remapped to the keyboard dll on the Pro2 though :cool2:

For what it's worth Juicy, I switched out my Tour as well and the new one is rock solid. No trackball issues, no cover issues, etc. Hope yours is the same.

question for ya.... on either one of your tours, did you have issues with loading the 5.0 leaks? I can't do it for the life of me on my current Tour, which I can't figure out why.

I've heard that the 5.0 leaks do not play friendly with tour. Make sure that you back up your phone, wipe and go for the install again. Which OS are you trying to upload onto your phone?

I had no problem loading any of the 5.0 OS's on mine (either one of them). I read somewhere on the boards that it was a Telus issue. I'll see if I can find that link.

I was able to load .140 but could never get .191 to load. So went back to 4.7.1.42. Now am running the leaked .53 and it is running great. Trackball smooth, BBM works, all my apps work. An improvement over .40, I would reccomend this one.

Loading .230 as we speak. We'll see what this one has to offer LOL...

The 230 is pretty amazing. This is how the storm should have been released.

I'm running it on my Tour and my Storm... its awesome.

I know what you mean. I have enough NyQuil, Comtrex, Tylenol Cold & Flu and Kleenex to open a pharmacy. Lucky me!

I had a TP die on me last week and I got Sprint to toss me a Tour as my replacement. I figured 4 months away from renewal I would give it a shot and see if I like it. If I don't I only have to suffer for 4 months. Well I have played with it nonstop. I LOVE MY BB!! I am hooked on this thing. I love how smooth everything is. I am just upset that I didn't get a data cable with it. I ordered one and apparently USPS says it was delivered and I don't have it, but back to the awesome. The TP was never this smooth, no ROM that I loaded was this smooth....no offense Juicy, I used a few of yours and they were good, but damn, RIM put in some work.

I am gonna be here for a while.

Welcome to ! Great to have you on board! I too was building ROM's for WinMo (remember "Fallen"?) but will never look back. It's amazing now that I know what I was missing...
