Thread: Twitter me this...

What (if any) Twitter app(s) are you using on your BB? I tried Twitterberry and couldn't get it off the phone fast enough. BLAH...

We have been using UberTwitter but aren't receiving notifications like we are supposed to. It's a known issue so hopefully the next build will address it. But, it seems even with the notification problems it blows the other Twitter apps away.

What do you use and why?

P.S. Overlook a noob...I'm looking for professional help! LOL

UberTwitter is the best one available to the public. SocialScope is the best one not available to the public (private beta). I would load and use UT and sign up for SS at SocialScope - A Mobile Inbox for your Social Networks. Use UT until you get your SS invite

Thanks! I just signed up. I hadn't heard of Social Scope 'til now. Sooooo does this mean I can dump my FB app once Social Scope "let's me in"?

First off let me say that I had TweetGenius and UT installed the tour and I didn't have the UT notifications either. The only one that showed up under other was TG, I uninstalled TG and UT ended up showing up and worked flawlessly from that point on. I will also add that even though UT wasn't under options it still had my sounds that I assigned to it, from a previous OS load so it really wasn't that big of deal at the time.

As of now I am using SocialScope and love it. The ease of use if fantastic as well as the threaded direct messages makes it very easy to stay current on a conversation. I do miss the ease of use for uploading pics and video with UT though.

No but you won't need it nearly as much. SS is mainly for updating your status, viewing posted pics, and commenting on people's status. But it does prevent you from having to use the FB app nearly as much. Also for those on 5.0 OS like me there is no FB app until 1.7 drops so SS is the only way to get our fix

I've gone through "Ring Tones/Alerts ---> Other" on both my Tour and my wife's to no avail. I can change them 'til I'm blue in the face and will never receive a notification until I change to UT and check my timeline. THEN I get the notification. I've gone through the settings in UT numerous times and made sure I checked receive updates and move to background. No clue

No biggie

It is a separate thread IMO as TG worked on the Storm but would be cut off while in portrait mode. Where as it looks great on on the Tour but runs choppier than it did on the storm IMO

Well, I can deal with no notifications and use UT 'til it's fixed. I hate switching apps, let alone to one with less functionality. BUT, with that said, if SocialScope sends me an invite I'm jumping on board. Morganizer's review makes it look pretty good.

Nope sure don't it seems to vary. I applied 4+ months ago several times and never got an invite. I ended up getting one from someone that had an extra. There are several people that got one the next day after they applied????

I signed up for SocialScope at least a month ago and still haven't heard anything. Please SocialScope send an invite.
