My Tour came in yesterday and I have now got to spend some time looking at all the complaints and known issues with the Tour. The one that concerned me the most was the screen issue, where the LCD display wild distort and discolor when you touch and put pressure on it. After much thought and ingenuity, I came up with a simple solution to this problem that every Tour owner can do:
STOP TOUCHING THE SCREEN!!!
Seems like there are too many Storm users out there switching to this device. As someone that upgraded from the 8830 and has never had a touchscreen phone, I was never compelled to touch the screen one time.
I'm just having fun here, but in all seriousness I find that many people are being overly picky about this phone. All the complaints I've read really are not that big of a deal on this phone. Plus... I have one of the dreaded "Made in Mexico" phones.
Haha... I don't think it's just people touching the actual screen. For some, I believe even when you press the SEND and END keys the lower corners get distorted. My guess is that it's because it's not a hard clear cover over the screen like the previous BB's like the 8800's.
Im now getting that problem, the distortion when pressing the trackball. When pressed, I see it in the bottom left corner. Only when its on the main screen with that blue/black background. Any other solid color I don't see it.
