Thread: Crisis Averted - Existing Verizon Customers Can Now Pre-Order Tour As An Upgrade

to make it worthwhile for everyone involved if ur not eligible for an upgrade and ur considering full retail use the lost and stolen policy. take ur current bb off ur account toss on another crap phone without insurance on the line that you don't care for anymore call it in as lost or stolen and tell them you need another phone since u don't have insurance they will allow you to do a one year upgrade for a phone so now u can get the tour at a one year price.

i just got off the phone with a rep and just added a third line for the tour. she told me its not a "preorder" and that she was just taking down all my info and they will get back to me once they have a "release date and pricing info". its funny on the website they have a price and release date and yet the rep on the phone didnt know any info

i did. i even gave them my creditcard info and told her to charge it up once she has all the info even if i dont answer the phone when she calls me back with the info

Not sure if this one will work. Most phone companies require a police report number before they will replace the phone don't they? I sure do take alot of reports for people that their carriers made them come in for.

but ur not replacing it so they dont need a police report only if u were filing a claim through Asurion for a replacement device thats when they need it. not for the Verizon lost and stolen policy what happens is you put a phone on the line that you don't care about say a razr or something for a day without insurance on the line then call it in as lost or stolen and ask them about the lost and stolen policy through them (Verizon) they will inform you they will allow you since you don't have insurance to do a contract at one year pricing just so you have a phone. that way you just landed yourself in a tour for one year pricing since you weren't eligible for an upgrade and was considering full retail

I still can't pre-order the Tour, i'm a VZ emp, i have a storm but some stupid reason i wtill can't order the Tour!!!! anybody has an idea to why i can't?!!!!! i'm about to pop!

probably cause your a employee normally they have to wait a while till they can order the new product, or have a friend do it.

You are right, I am not a VIP. Even though I have been with Verizon since they bought out GTE Mobile net, I do not qualify. I don't think my monthy price plan is high enuff. I have the Family Share for $69.99 and 2 additional lines....
