New hands on for the Tour!

There has been new hands on with the 9630! And if I must say, its a beaut ;). Interesting is the the OS on the Tour (article is dated for yesterday) for Verizon had V Cast, VZ Navi., and also Visual Voice Mail. This is great news meaning this may came out close to the July 13th date we all have heard. Interesting alone is the Sprint Tour they played with had no signs of Sprint TV or any application from Sprint on their model, so will that make the rumor Sprint coming first false? What do you guys think?

Yep that and missing stuff on the Sprint version both caught my eye. This is sounding more and more like my phone everyday.

Although I admit having VZW send me a brand new storm for my replacement has kind of clouded that a little. This new phone is truly leaps and bounds better than my other two.

yeah I'm really stoked about this one. I don't know about the .38 os though. from what i've been told it should launch with .28 currently hansets were shipped from rim with .26.

all the powers that be are saying even .26 is a great os

IMHO I dont see it, I think they will release a 5.0 update for every phone out in the fall bringing the all up to the same, and then after all phones released after the fall will be released with 5.0.

Yeah I'm surprised to see that the Tour is only running 4.7 kind of disappointing. However, that being said, no carrier that I am aware has been able to pass internal test of anything in the 5.0 range. My guess is that phone slated to be released after the Tour will probably have 5.0. And knowing how things generally go, GSM carriers will probably see it before VZW does.

just hope you guys can get 5.0 for your storms, if it runs same as the bold you will be more than happy though

It is good news to all those waiting for the tour ;) :arms:

.28 works fine on the device.. .36 and higher clean up some memory and the like but its not as big a jump as .75 to .148 on the storm.. as for 5.0 that will be rolling out later this year and I am sure that CDMA will not lag behind GSM as testing on 5.0 is intense now..
