fluctuating EDGE on tour and blank Host routing table

Hello, pls just bought an unlocked verizon tour last month, but it's EDGE network alwz fluctuate. Smx I have to restart the connection at the manage connections menu before I could get an EDGE. Also, when trying to access the App world, it will disconnect from EDGE to edge. I've called my carrier MTN-Nig, but they seemed not to have a lasting solution. Any help in solving this wld be appreciated.
2nd, another tour does not have any Host Routing Table and service books at all! How can I manually load service books/HRT on it. Thanks alwz.
