I had the same issue. Finally figured out that the appointments in my work calendar had migrated to the bb calendar once I synced. Removed appointments from the bb calendar and no issue since.

I had a similar problem with syncing. When I hook up to DM it is set up to auto sync with Outlook - I had it set to copy the handheld to outlook and ended up with multiple copies of each event on the outlook calender. I had to delete the extra copies from outlook and change the sync settings in DM.

If I'm not mistaken, Outlook is a default messaging system for DM. Could very well be syncing and you don't know it unless your watching the screen. I just sync and walk away so I'm not sure.
