Thread: best 5.0 for the tour???

ok i am going to load a 5.0 os on my girls phone and wanted to know what the most stable 5.0 os is for her 9630

5.0.0.230 was the best OS hands down for me. Stable and had not one issue while running it.

hey bryan i know you're around here somewhere. I dl it from this site from the mega link and i don't see the rim tools so i can assume they aren't there right

right if you go to control panel>add/remove programs>and dont see anything about internal tools you are good to go

why every time that i try to put this sotware on the phone does it say that my computer doesnt have software for my phone?

did you delete the vendor.xml? and are you sure you download the 9630 verison and not 9530 on accident?

yeah i downloaded the 9630 or at least that is where it came from on these forums and that is what it said on megaupload. I had it wiped down to a 507 and am now installing the original back on then gonna try the 5-0

maybe something is wrong with apploader for some reason.....i don't know...i have done this sooooo many times with my storm and this damn tour is kicking my a$$

no matter what i do i can't get this thing to upgrade from 4-7-1 to a 5.0 thru apploader

why will it not upgrade to 5.0?????????

no vendor.xml make sure its the only os installed on the pc and disconnect from the net when doing this install

did all of that....not a rookie here

I am so lost here i have done this many times with my storm and everytime i try to put this 5.0 on the tour it won't do anything any help would be greatly appreciated

off the wall here but have you tried going through DM and seeing if it shows up in there?

I had that issue. I had to JL_Cmder my phone after I Crack_Utilitied the phone as well. Disconnected from the Internet, restarted the machine, reconnected the Internet and there it was!

the pc is recognizing the phone right? just not the os?>

well it goes from recognizing the phone to not.....i am attempting to delete dm off of the computer the os and then i'm just going to try again

it doesn't show up in dm.....it barely recognizes the phone most of the time. that is my storm and tour......

Try pulling your battery out.. then plug into pc. reboot pc, then put battery back in after pc comes back up.
