Thread: 3G For All Theme Changes 1XEV logo to 3G on all Tours!

Hi everyone,

I decided to make a theme for all Blackberry Tour's. This theme changes the 1XEV icon to 3G so everyone can now have the infamous "3G logo"

In this theme:
1) 3G logo across all CDMA carriers 4.7 & 5.0

3G with Blackberry logo = 1XEV
3G without Blackberry logo = 1X
3g = 1xev

2) Battery meter with numerical gauge.
3) Smaller cleaner banners.
4) Weather slot & today options available.
5) Menu animation. (all versions)
6) Custom version offers fade in & out, icon animation & custom highlight.
7) Other small enhancements.
8) Memory leak eliminated (special thanks to CB member slingbox)

NOTE: How to remove 1XEV from showing in the browser thanks to CB member drinka4years.
options > Manage connections > mobile network options > Network Technology > change to 1XEV not global.

NOTE: I decided for reasons beyond my control to share the 3G secret. I created a font a few weeks back that could be loaded to your PC. When in theme builder if you change the network font to my font you would then change the 1XEV to 3G. I wanted all to know that my font is copy written but I am willing to share it with all. If you would like to add the 3G logo to your theme free or premium please send me a PM and I will send you the font for $20 and your license code.

thanks for the hard work on that... I know a lot of people were sick of the 1XEV symbol, as nobody really knew what it meant for a while. Thanks also for showing what each of the symbols would mean as they appear on the screen.

Not real big on themes, per-se, but I do realize there is a lot of work in making them and can appreciate the dedication involved. As for the 3G symbol, that was a real turn-off for a lot of users to have to look at the 1XEV until guys like you fixed it. Makes you wonder why RIM didn't seem to get the hint.

I was thinking the same thing. I bet its the carriers choice for 1XEV and not RIM's.

Sorry to burst your bubble Jpatterson350... but someone beat you to this...

I have to look for it, but someone made an app that changes that, so no theme needed.

Yes I am well aware of driphters awesome patch however this only works on verizon. My theme works an all CDMA devices.

Yes, Driphter's patch was a godsend, but integrating it into a hybrid or a theme is a much better way to go.
