    Mobile hotspot - 9860 - Not working anymore

    Hi

    I have 9860 with OS 7.1.0.205. I was using Mobile Hotspot feature till yesterday.
    Today the hotspot feature is not working. I get a popup -'Activation reqd. To use this feature, contact your wireless service provider & subscribe to a mobile hotspot plan'
    I have BES & Tethering plan active. My operator has no Mobile Hotspot Plan as confirmed from its cust service.
    SO they are also cluless.

    ANy solutions?? I already did reboot etc. Only thing I am 30 km away from my home where the Hotspot was working. So am not sure if it is a nw issue. But I am still in same city & irony is that I am working in Telco's office

    SO I am having this issue as an employee

    Now what do you suggest I shoudl do??

    I fixed the heading.

    Is this BES & Tethering plan currently under your employer?

    I find it very strange that all of a sudden, you received that pop up message from your service provider, but yet, you mention that you already contacted customer service, which they say they have no mobile hotspot?

    To access the mobile hotspot feature using the tethering plan from your mobile provider, they have to enable the account from their end.

    All I can suggest, contact Vodafone carrier again (in person) if possible.

    Could it be a BlackBerry Data thing being pushed out to certain device models? Rather than by what carrier you have?

    Not sure...Back home, the Hotspot works well but not at my office...Have informed NW team. Lets see if they can fix it..
    BTW, at office, guys using Samsung Android were still able to use Hotspot but not BBs. Weird but true.
