I got problem with my 9850, I cannot use the menu and the back buttons. I have tried to use os 7.0.0.261 and 7.1.0.163 but those two buttons cannot be used.
Any suggestion friends?

Hello Madmanmoon, I had a similar issue but it turned out to be a hardware issue. yours may be as well since you have tried to reload the software already.
Have you tried to run the hardware test on the berry yet to see if it picks up on the key presses?
if not follow these instructions.....
go into Options>Device>Device Status and info> when that is screen open type the word "test".
This will open the device self test app.
1. click the track pad and hit run test or start test.
2. it will ask you what tests you want to perform, say yes to the hardware test and check the box for "keyboard and track pad"
When the keyboard test is running it will have a readout on screen if the device picks up the key press.

If you don't see you key presses show up on the screen then your hardware is most likely the issue.

I am still wondering how can you do the clean installation because I always think that I can not do the clean installation. As in the PC if you're going to do the clean installation usually we have to format the harddrive. How can I do the clean installation.

i think you misunderstood. im talking about the Operating system on the blackberry, not the Os on your computer. this thread http://www.blackberryos.com/blackber...es-videos.html has the info needed to backup your info on the blackberry, wipe it clean so there is nothing on it, reload the software, and then restore your data

Just FYI, I finally found the way to use the menu and back button by pressing two buttons, example if you want to use menu so press and hold menu button and just gently press call button, just one forth press and the menu button will work, same procedure for back button.

I had a similar issue with my 9860. It´s hardware problem, and solved it by purchasing the front cover from rounded.nl and installing it myself.
The OS reload post is bookmarked on my PB. I refer to it every time I have to do it. Makes life so much easier.
