Would anyone tell me differences between os 7 for 9850 and 9860? Could it be working if my device is 9850 and os 7 for 9860? or vice versa?

Hello, the main difference is that the 9850 is a CDMA network device (Verizon, Sprint, Ect), and the 9860 is a GSM device (AT&T, Vodafone, ect).

No, you cannot use a OS for the 9860 on the 9850 or vice versa.

Although the models are fairly similar, like the 9900/9930, 9860/9850, etc.... you cannot install an OS written for another device because the Radio file (*.sfi) will not work and that makes sense too. Devices like the 9850 and 9930 are meant to operate on CDMA networks while the others are meant for GSM networks.

That said, if you really want to install a newer OS and make it work with your CDMA device, you CAN do that by keeping your *.sfi file from your older 9850 OS and doing a Java Swap from the newer OS.

But I don't advice you to do that unless you are a pro and very familiar with BlackBerry OS and its related CODs.

My advice to you, just wait for an official OS from your carrier and play it safe.

Thanks for all your informations. I thought that 9850 can be used in gsm network too so 9850 can be used for cdma and gsm network and 9860 is only for gsm network.
