Thread: No internet on my 9850. Need help

I bought a used 9850 and unlocked it. But I have no internet or email capabilities.

Im using it on t mobile and yes I have the BB internet package.

I'm unable to use my pin on this phone and I have no host routing table.

Tmobile support says the pin number for this device is registered under sprint still and they dont know how to release it.

Anyone have any suggestions

Is T-Mobile using CDMA or GSM?

I know that a Sprint phone won't work on Verizon and vice-versa because the ESN # is registered under Sprint.

But you should be able to used a unlocked Sprint phone on a GSM network.

The phone works, but no internet.

And sometimes if i can get the phone to send an mms, it is received by the other party as coming from the old number that used to be with the phone??

I think the problem is the pin isnt registering with Tmobile and therefore i cant get the host routing table?

T-Mobile is GSM but Spring is CDMA.
Basically if you are the original owner of the Sprint account (phone number) you should contact Sprint and ask them to release your PIN number then contact your carrier that you are using on GSM (T-Mobile) and register it with your BIS account.

If you got the Blackberry from another Sprint user then contact him and ask him to call sprint and release the PIN number.

You need a Blackberry Data plan to use data services with your Blackberry... you say that you have one - so contact your carrier and register your PIN number with your BIS account and then update the service books on your unlocked Blackberry and have fun
