    9850 Users Where Are You

Of those who purchased the 9850 most recently from VZW, what issues are you having and how have you been addressing them?

I would be curious to know as well as I'm contemplating getting the 9850.

The only issue I have had is learning to type on the keyboard. Other than that, the longer I have it the more I like it. I don't see how I'll ever want to look at a smaller screen again.

I was over visiting the Crackberry site and found an update showing the most recent (latest Official 9850 OS 7.0.0.362 Panhandle Communications (PTCI). I downloaded it last night and did see a few improvements one being the ability to swipe the keyboard instead of having to try and hit that SMALL arrow up at the T and Y key.

    https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...C4071B5522C459

With very little in the way of apps for the OS 7 9850 backing up and making sure all else worded took far less time than working with the S2.

    Harmleing68,
I have to agree with you that the 9850 at least the one I have has shown no problems or issues that will cause me to go back. I am OK on the typing thing and just waiting for more apps to show in support of this phone.

Does it feel better in your hands than the 9800?

    WOW,
No one else has purchased or moved up to the 9850 here? No POS or NEG feedback?

I did. And I love it.

I liked my 9930, but having the full touch is so much better for me. It was nice having touch on the 9930 but not that practical unless you have small fingers. I found myself always accidentally touching the trackpad when sliding my finger across the small screen and messing up my navigation.

I'm going to be doing a video review on what I think of the 9850 soon.

Damn, now I'm back to wanting to wait for AT&T to release the 9860 instead of jumping on a 9810.....

Yes please! I have been considering buying the 9850 for a while now and I would really like to hear how others are finding it. The keyboard is something I'm especially concerned about. Is it difficult to type even after owning for a few months?

I went to a 9850 from the Style (Sprint is my carrier for last 12 years). The touch pad is different but I have gotten use to it. And for this old guy, that should be an indication that anyone can do it. I like the size of the screen for these old eyes, and it is more suited to my needs.

The BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860 is a beautiful device to view pictures, and videos with their 3.7" touch screen.

I've always believed that anyone could use any BlackBerry device, regardless of age.

I'm thinking about changing from my 9810 to a 9860 device. I like the slider, but I don't use the slider keyboard that much. Plus the 9860 has a bigger screen.
    ROCKS!!

I am still pleased with my 9850 and from reading thru some other sites there seems to be some who have not had good experience with thier 9850's (due to hardware) issues. I have not had any problems and continue to enjoy the user experience with 7.1.0 Bundle 457.

I especially like using the bridge feature with the Playbook and from time to time the "remote" control. I do not see major op issues and typing is still good but I do hit the "b" key when typing fast and spell check gets me when I don't read final before I hit send. But the screen size is key for me as I do not have problems operating an all touch device.
