Friends,
I just bought bb 9850 sprint unlocked. After inserting the telephone card, everything is okay except on the top of the screen appears activation required status. I am rtrying to remove that status. Does anyone know how to remove it. Thanks.

Yup, I have tried to change the network settings to global GSM but still the activation required status still there.

Your Blackberry 9850 from sprint is a CDMA device, it has the GSM radio and a sim slot so it can be used over the GSM network if it's unlocked from SIM lock security by MEP 2 unlocking code.
But, CDMA devices also using a phone number and there is a settings screen for the CDMA network settings on that device, not like Verizon CDMA Blackberry's Sprint are using another locking security to lock that screen, you need a SPC / MSL unlocking for your Blackberry to get that screen (the code then can be used as the ##000000 on Verizon devices) where you can edit the old phone number and replace it with your GSM used number.
