BB Torch 9860 Case
I have just obtained a BB 9860 and very pleased so far :). Gone from Storm 2 and got to say its a big difference.
Can anyone tell me if there is a BB case availible just like the normal standard ones which are a pouch type with the magnets in it to shut the phone down into standby when hostered?
Why has RIM not supplied this type of case as standard?
I have tried my Storm case and although this is too short and too wide it does send the phone into standby mode when used.
RIM does not supply cases for the Torch for some unknown reason. I have one of these for my 9800 and since the 9860 is the same design as the 9800, it should fit.
Hi ghostryder12, thanks for the heads up on this. I have done a bit of searching and found that the magnetic pouch from RIM is availible from our VF stores over here and cost £18 which is very exspensive but they are availible.
I guess we have been spoilt previously when we got all these things with the Storm series and now RIM have realised that they can make a bit more money from after sales.
I will keep looking as this is a new device so hopefully more gadgets will hit the stores/sites soon.
Many Thanks again.
You're welcome and you're right about being a new phone...more and more apps will be made and released soon.
9800 is nothing like 9860
And you are correct, I was thinking 9810 instead of 9860. Don't know why I was thinking that way. Still, RIM does not supply a case in their packaging of the Torch models for some reason.
I bought one for $15 on Amazon. Case is with a Belt Clip & is a perfect fit for 9860. It also has BB Logo. Chk it out.
The 9850/9860 is longer than the 9800/9810 so you would have to make sure you get the correct case.
