Yesterday we had the opportunity of attending BB7FanNight, the first media event where the new line BlackBerry OS7 devices were displayed. This Torch 9860 video is the first of many videos showing a walkthrough of the new line of devices.

Hey Clive, they are not on the market for sale yet. Looking at anywhere from the end of this month to perhaps even Oct. I've heard a lot of release dates.

Actually,all the new devices are pretty awesome

Damn I really can't pick between 9930 or 9850, I'm coming from Android so I may stick to full touchscreen. Off topic question; are there any fantasy football apps that will work with this or 9930?

Good question on the fantasy football apps, don't know, but perhaps a few of the football fanatics on our team can answer that.

As for which to choose. I can only say that the 9930 is a great device. The touchscreen is very smooth and responsive. It comes down to do you need a physical keyboard? I like having the keyboard as well. Makes it easier to type out longer emails, ect.

I searched for fantasy football app but couldn't find any :-( . So I decided to go with the 9850 mainly because of the screen size and being $100 cheaper. I'm going to order it Sunday :-D...

Since I already have gotten the 9930, I'm going to wait until QNX devices to see what comes full screen.

Let me just say, these OS 7 devices are like no other BB devices before. They are fast, smooth, fun, and will change the way you see BlackBerry.

I am still perplexed by the silence from Verizon about any release date or even some kind of confirmation on yes we are going to carry these devices or not. Come on 9860!!!! My Storm needs a long rest....

If you like touchscreen devices then 9860 is your Blackberry... it's more about landscape devices if you ask me and it's a great blackberry for those who love to use thier phone for games, videos and such.
