Thread: New leaked photos of BlackBerry 9860 Touch Monza show different buttons

New photos leaked show the upcoming device, BlackBerry 9860 Touch Monza, with a new style of bottom buttons that aren't present in previously leaked photos. It looks like a few of these prototypes are flying around as RIM is still in the testing phase with the 9850/9860 devices.

Also shown in the above image is the device is running OS 7.

What would you prefer? Protruding buttons, or flat?

I like the other one better.
Makes the phone a smooth device, now it looks a bit cheaper.

Ohhh... Nah I like the flat touch buttons. And still want the red and green call/end back! I'm trying to picture an Otterbox Defender case for both button variations haha. Just hurry up and give me the thing already

we requested the convenience keys on the side, not those buttons. Must have been a miscommunication:laugh2:

I would rather have the smooth buttons, but if this is the way they are going then let's get it out already. But with the extended buttons and edge openings just allows moisture, liquid, dust, dirt to enter in or loss of the tactile feel if used repeatedly. Don't want to have to rely or depend on solid mechanical operation if it is not there over time. But I will have to wait for VZ to get on board with what they are going to promote and carry.

Looks good tho and time for it's release.... ;-)

Yea, the smooth touch sensitive buttons I'd like as well.

Same here and for the same reason concerning dust and moisture. Also, I would enjoy the smooth feeling of the phone.

hehe...Gimme smooth green and red call buttons and 1 convenience key on each side....and I'm ready to upgrade, so gimme the damn thing already!!
