Thread: stuck at "connecting to bootrom", cannot reload os [help]

hello everyone, im new here.
my device is bb torch 9800, i try to upgrade my os, then i wipe my device with jl_cmder and bbsak also.
finish the wipe, i reload the official os, which download from the blackberry.com.

i was delete the vendor.xml and try to load os, it stuck at "connecting to bootrom"..and my device was keep restart.

i found the solution, ex. pull battery out and put back...it didnt work for me.

what is the problem, is the software is not suitable to my device or hardware problem?

anyone can help me?

There is no reason to wipe your device more than once, using either jl_cmder or BBSAK, which I am very familiar with most tools.

All that is required is one tool, and if I may suggest, take a look at this thread, NEW Wiping your phone with BBSAK step by step

Attempt to wipe it only once, with either tool, then use the link above to install, OS 6.0.0.723 for your BlackBerry Torch 9800.

Just a friendly reminder, remember to perform a backup as usual if you have not done so.

Hi...
1. Pl ensure that your BB battery is fully charged. I faced simlar issue with my Storm a few yrs back & once I had Battery fully charged, I was able to load the OS.

2. ANother trick is to 'catch' the bootloader. With Apploader running & BB not connected, you will see PIN i greyed out. Now at this screen, connect your BB & insert battery to enable it to boot.
3. Now keep a close watch on the greyed PIN as you have to time the click 'Next' button. As soon as you see your PIN appear, press 'next' so the loader catches the bootrom.
4. If you miss it first time ( I missed the timing a few times myself ), keep trying & you will hit the jackpot.

same problem with my bold 9000. till windows pop up say upgrading encounter error.try again.done more than 20 times with all suggestion i read. still no clue and it still asking me to reload software;ERROR 507.
