Hi cgtboy87, when you connected your new trackpad in the BlackBerry Torch 9800, are you sure you connected the flex to the correct area in the phone, using the proper manual/guidance for this particular BlackBerry device.



If you have connected the flex to the correct area of the Torch 9800, then we can safely assume that this trackpad is unfortunately defected.

Therefore, the other option is to purchase another trackpad for your BlackBerry Torch 9800, and hope it works.

If it doesn't work, there is a severe issue with your Torch 9800 internal hardware.
