Hi! I'm trying to update my BB Torch with this OS...

Hi! I'm trying to update my BB Torch with this OS version but I'm having a problem. The OS was already installed, tried using the App Loader but once done in detecting and reading my device, it will just bring up the application screen which shows all my 3rd party apps with the device software listed. How can I bring that back? I was able to do that before when I tried the leaked .600 version.

    Hello overthehedge,

I have moved your post to the 9800 section, this way we give more attention to your issue.
I would suggest you take a look at our upgrade guide found here, then report back with any issue.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi ice2921,

    Thanks for moving my post!

That's the guide that I followed when I was able to successfully upgrade my OS from .248 to .600 leaked. My problem right now is on the screen of the Application Loader Wizard, I can only see my 3rd party applications and not the Blackberry .600 System Software and Core Applications which we can see in the guide. So basically, I can only add or remove 3rd party applications when using the App Loader and not update the OS.

What I did to my Torch was from .248 upgraded it to the leaked .600 version then found it buggy so I decided to switch to an official one but got the problem stated above. Removed the official .600 software from my PC and installed a leaked .576 version. I was able to downgrade from .576 using the BDM but after that it seems like the official .600 software can't be detected.

    Did I do something wrong?

Possibly, upgrades can be tricky at times. I have bricked a few phones in my time by performing an upgrade. The good new is that there is usually away out. Lets try the following and see if we cant get you back up:

    1. backup your device.
    2. wipe your device: use the all in one guide, but pay attention to the wiping part with BBSK
    3. Check your core applications with the default OS.

The report back. Hopefully you will see the core applications.

Thanks for replying ice2921.. Well, what I did over the weekend is uninstalled BBDM and reinstalled it... I was able to upgrade my .576 to .600 from AT&T. So far so good compared to the leaked .600.
