Thread: 9800 Flick Problem

HI Guys,

I have a new 9800 - what an awesome phone. I have one problem though. I cannot consistently use the swipe / flick funtion without selecting an item on the screen, This is very frustrating on the main page as I keep starting apps instead of scrolling. It seems that the swipe of my finger is not always detected. I have tried various sensitivity setting to no avail.... Version 6.0.0.256

Any ideas?

How long have you had the 9800? I had the same issue when I first got it as well. Its just a matter of getting use to it. My suggestion is to set the swipe sensitivity to the lowest settingand just get use to it. Eventually you will get the feel of it and will stop launching the apps. It took me about a week and a half.

It is the getting used to it but also try upgrading your OS using the tools and advice here at
That will also help with little problems like these.
I am running 6.0.0.377 and the problems with my News Feeds and camera stopped after i upgraded.

I think an upgrade will help a lot if you haven't gotten used to it yet :-D

I'd say it does need a little getting used to, I never experienced a huge hassle while using the torch I use, although I would also agree that an OS upgrade will sure help.
