Anyone know who makes flip cases for the torch? Looking to compare a few.

Do you mean slide cases? I haven't heard of flip cases for the torch..

I'm coming from an 8700.. The torch works great for me but I was always partial to the flip cases..

Since the torch slides up a flip case is still a possability.. I actually ordered a fortte one but am looking into other options once this one gets run down. Assuming the torch design holds up as well as my 8700 does (went through 4 cases since its debut)

Couldent find any such seidio offerings.. Its a bit cumbersome but I think perotection wise the design is unmatched..

I lead a pretty active lifestyle and phones always in my pocket, takes a beating.

Too bad it would habve gone well with my next extended battery purchase.

how long have you had this case? How well is it holding up?

My preference for Torch cases...after much experience, trial and error....is a GRT hard-shell case, a quality screen protector, and a Bold 9000 leather OEM case. The 9000 OEM case is just the right size to fit the Torch housed in a protective case, such as the GRT. The GRT case is by far the best protective case out there for the Torch in my humble opinion. It is made of two parts; one that the phone rests in, and one that snaps to the sliding screen. The two piece case actually connects to itself and provides great stress relief on the Torch's sliding mechanism.

I realize these matters ultimately boil down to individual preference, but I have found that this combination is a winning one. Perfect protection, perfect functionality, and nice style too. Not to mention, the Bold 9000 OEM case has the magnet inside that puts your BB "to sleep" whilst holstered to greatly help conserve precious battery life.

To be more specific...the protective case mentioned above is an AGF GRT case. Well worth the money. You can find them all over the place. I get them from eBay...sometimes "remanufactured" for around $10 shipped. Not too shabby from a $30 + retail price.
