Thread: BlackBerry Slider is a touchscreen device!

AT&T deserves this phone. VZW has had 2 touchscreen BBs and those of us smart enough to have AT&T need an upgrade from the Bold 9000 without having to sacrifice the amazing keyboard but get a touchscreen as well. Overall, this is going to be the best BB on the market, and only AT&T users get to have it

Although we see the AT&T splash screen, I haven't read anything that indicates this to be an exclusive for AT&T....so you may be a little premature in stating that only AT&T users get to have it.

I'm loving this BB! Now with AT&T attached, we just need a release date and then I need to know if and when Telus will be getting it!!

Now that everyone seems to have had a little taste of the BlackBerry Bold 9800 slider goodness, more leaked content is hitting the BlackBerry community today.
The BerryFix picked up a video of the BlackBerry Bold 9800 walk-through today which seems to answer a question or two about the device.
Captive technology seems to have replace sure-press as the touch interface of choice. And the Webkit looks to be all that we are hoping for in a BlackBerry browser experience.
OS 6.0 still seems a bit rigid however we all experienced this with the introduction of 5.0 as well.

Judging by that video, I still think the Incredible performs better. I'm sad to say that. Because that video actually kind of turns me off to the slider. Took away my hope of it actually being better than the Storm 2. And now, I'm not so sure it will be.

Yeah, not sure about the slider but I sure like the looks of BB6!

I agree and the more and more I see BB6 running I'm losing hope that it will even be close to how the android software runs. I get that this is likely a beta version of the software and it will get smoother but even if the software was running flawlessly, still not even close to the Incredible IMHO.

i didnt like the slider at first but since ive seen it working i like or maybe i like the bb 6 it looks just as fast if not faster on some things than the android devices i like it very well.

lol, who else is bothered by the guys finger in the video?

If only it was a Verizon phone. I'd jump on that phone.

It seemed pretty good for me. Keyboard should slide sideways.

looks pretty sweet with OS6, it just looks so smooth and FAST! To bad about not having a slide sideways keyboard
