Thread: BlackBerry Slider 9800 to launch on at&t in June?

The good folks over at Boy Genius Report have received some inside information from a contact at RIM that the BlackBerry Slider will be launching in June of this year on at&t. The dates were not set in stone, but sometime in the month of June seems to be the word. at&t will have exclusivity with the device for a period of time which has not yet been confirmed. It was also revealed to BGR that at&t has placed a very large order exceeding 1 million devices. This will be the first BlackBerry launching with the highly anticipated OS 6.0 and from the size of the order RIM and at&t are expecting big things from the device.

I was hoping they changed the design, I would rather a landscape slider but i suppose we will see how things turn out

i will say that i highly doubt this will happen, instead the device is going to testing grounds on att in june so i dont think they will approve the device in less then a month.... we all know how slow att is, dont we?

I am so disappointed that ATT will be getting it. I am with Tmo and have been waiting patiently for a touch screen BB to come to my way. I dont mind the design just give me a touch screen with OS 6, UMA and I will be real happy.

that will probably happen sooner then what most think it will

I really want this on verizon, but I don't think it's going to happen.

You have a better chance of seeing God before you see this device coming out on Verizon any time soon.

I'm actually posting this reply from the BB 9800 and I'm on cricket, they gave me the phone for free, o and I also have a storm 3 unlocked and am using it on sprint!!!!!

I detected from your font that you are using OS 14, is that correct?

well I can't wait for it to come out so I can read and watch some reviews I hope there's much more with this blackberry..

I'm curious as to why you say that? I heard awhile back that tmobile will be getting the storm 2, I wonder if this will still happen, otherwise I definitely would like to see this phone in action and snatch it up with tmo
