I would prefer a landscape slider keyboard (like Droid and N900).

Having grown a little farsighted, I can no longer work with such tiny screen as found in Bold, Tour, Curve, etc. I have been dreaming of a device with a larger touch screen (at least 480 x 360 in resolution) LESS virtual keyboard PLUS physical keyboard (slider).

OK, the latter one is cool, kind of - at least VERY small!
    Resistance is futile.

One problem that I see with any kind of slider is that ...it will no longer fit in a case. How do you protect it? I don't know about you, but that does concern me...I can be a klutz!

I love the phone exactly as you designed it. I would buy that in a hearbeat.

New case where it goes in the opposite way to its slide so you don't keep opening it when pulling the phone out.

    My 0.02.

An S2 type device capable of running on the HSDPA networks would be my suggestion.

I would probably get the slider if and only if it had a landscape slider keyboard. Since it doesn't I won't get

Ugh sliders remind me of high school. Just a touchsreen/surepress slab would be nice. The storm 2 is my favorite (looks wise) touch screen phone right now and I think RIM got the form factor down. I also cant really imagine a business man using a side sliding device; the two just doesnt go together. A vertical slider more or less, but I prefer the classic full qwerty and the sure-press slab.
