I don't get the double "Blackberry" on top...
Redundent isn't it? Love the looks. Just not a slider fan, matbe we should ask RIM to make the Bold like that

Could just be an extra brand for a demo phone. I don't imagine it will be there when released.

I do love the metal back. Sharp!

I may go for the 9850 as it will be a Verizon phone, CDMA. I do like the 9930, will be good with the bigger screen if it's going to have touchscreen as well. I can see the tiny Curve 'Orlando' screen being difficult to use.

i was waiting for the dakota. BUT since i had the 9700 and was using os6, i felt i needed more memory and a 'holdover phone' (as in hold over until the new ones come out). my hold over backfired as it's the torch and now the 9000 or 9700 screen looks SOO small. i wish the torch 2 was coming with a dual camera

Yea, no dual camera on any of the upcoming devices. A good guess that RIM won't announce a dual camera until all of the newer devices are released to keep people from holding off on getting one.

With a front camera, all you will need is a data plan and a app like Skype, Tango, ect, to video call. Doesn't matter what your network will offer as long as you can get a data plan.

Tango seems to be the best (using on other platforms that is)

Hey! Nice to see a veteran step back into the forum.

I had issues on the iPhone and Droid X with Tango. They do update often so it could be much better than when I used it a few months ago. Connection has to be almost perfect to work correctly. Skype seemed to work pretty good for me, then again, with a great connection on both sides.

So it looks like small tweaks on the physical device itself whereas its gonna be the internal "guts" that will be the result of the new design. Being a greedy kinda guy, I'd LOVE a bigger screen...yea, yea I know, most folks don't want a bulky feeling phone but for me if it's a bigger screen....I'm in!!

Never really thought about it...maybe I should start looking that direction...
    EDIT:
Now I see that the PlayBook would not work for me. While it is impressive in what it can do, I have been reading all the specs and it appears that it can do everything except make a phone call. Why carry two devices, especially when one is 7" or now 10"?
