Question Help with themes on my Storm 9530

First, I am new to this site and I am eating up all the great info about my phone. Thanks to all who take the time to post this invaluable knowledge.

Secondly, I have only had my storm about 2 months and decided to play with different themes. My question/problem is; when I apply my new theme, all my 3rd party apps vanish. The app folder shows them still installed and when I switch back to my default theme they reappear. Am I doing something wrong or did I get a bogus theme?

    First off welcome to BBOS.

This is normal when installing a new theme. Unfortunately, when you use a new theme you must reconfigure the location of your 3rd party apps the way you want them. To do this just highlight the app, hit the BB button and either select move or move to folder (then select the folder you want it). Then you can set up your icons however you like.

Thanks for the quick reply, but moving the icons isn't the problem because the icons aren't there at all. The folders they were in are empty and they aren't on the home page.

Some themes have a default folder for 3rd party apps, such as downloads, applications. All apps should still be there, its just a matter of searching every folder to figure out where they are. Then you can use jlevy's steps!

Actually while in landscape mode... Hit the bb button and then options. The first option will be DOWNLOAD FOLDER! What ever folder is in that option is where your third party apps are!
