V Cast Video and Bing Mobile pushed to my phone.

I just did a battery pull and had V Cast Video And Bing Mobile app pushed to my S1. I also noticed that the youtube app is gone. It never worked with 5.0 anyway.

youtube does work on 5.0 if you use a backup cod

Bing is a beautiful app and I miss the youtube app it's part of my favorite apps group.

The V cast video app is a joke. I installed the app, then opened it. It opened the browser again only to tell me it's $3 a day or $10 a month. No preview or anything. It stayed on my phone all of 30 sec.

I wonder why vzw is pushing all these apps to us all of a sudden?

Is anybody else sick of all the apps getting pushed. If I wanted them I would dl them myself.

I just did the same thing Nate. Stupid app for $10 a month or $3 a day. I love Verizon, but this is a bit much. $3 a month and I would do it.

I tried out Bing and liked it, but didnt like that I couldnt set it as a defualt browser.

I feel the same way.

I know the economy is in the toilet and all.... but for VZW to try and push these apps on us now, seems a little unorthodox for my liking.
And above all.... the main thing I don't like is that I can't delete them!!:crazy:

You actually can delete them from your service books list but each time you do a battery pull or your phone resets the service book will be sent again.

Yep. Did that. Failed.

Hopefully someone will come out with a sure way of allowing us to delete system samples and alike from 5.0 os's.

But until then... I guess we have to grin and bear it. :(

I did my first battery pull since the newest .328 came out and have to say my storm is running great but I am getting so tired of Verizon pushing these application icons on me geez if I wanted them I would download it. I know you can hide them but why cant we delete them forever. I paid for my storm so I should be able to pick what goes on it.

Some stuff I dont mind them pushing, like the youtube app, never even knew it existed til they pushed it to me.

I was griping to somebody at my local VZW store about all the garbage that keeps getting pushed on to our phones lately. She told me just to "hide them, they don't use up much memory" (already been done). She also said that in a month or so we will have a way to remove the pushed stuff.

I'd bet she was just trying to blow smoke up my bootie to make me go away.
