Thread: Has anybody else had a reverse memory leak?

I am running 323 on my Storm (works great). For the past few days I have actually been having significant memory gain over the course of the day. I would consider myself a heavy user (work email, personal email, work cell conf. calls, Viigo, web, etc. etc.). and have a ton of stuff loaded so I am very used to doing 2-3 battery pulls a day to keep my memory above 20-25MB's. I am currently sitting above 38MB (started the day around 29MB) and have not done a pull since yesterday.

Is anybody else experiencing this with 323? Can anybody explain why it is happening?

The built-in Java garbage collector (which frees up resources from apps no longer running) is actually working as designed, and recovering memory. It's working like it is supposed to.

so which cod files on this build are responsible for recovering the memory?

Without having access to the actual code of the OS, and the changes they have made; that would be pretty difficult to answer. Bottom line is, part of the OS had a leak at one point, which has been fixed.
