Thread: Blackberry storm Can't click on any links in email or SMS

When I get a email or text with a link, the link does not work. I'm using 328 on my storm. Thanks....

Act like you are forwarding the email and see if that lets you click the link...

I tried forwarding a email with a link and you can't click on it it doesn't work...It's the same text as the rest of the email..

okay - I'm not seeing this issue at all and I'm running .328.
I sent myself (from the computer) an email and a text message. Each contained a link. When I received and opened the SMS message on my BB, I highlighted the link, hit BB button, selected "open link" and it worked perfectly---it went directly into the browser and got the linked URL.
For the email, it appeared highlighted upon opening and I clicked directly on it---no problem, it went to the URL.

Scroll down to post #6 and follow Ricking's advice---resend service books.

Hmm, I remember there was a quick work around but I can't seem to find or remember it exactly.

i had the same problem last night i called big red and they switched me to tech support and he re-sent my service books and wallah it works fine. do that and it will fix the problem

Excellent Suggestion...by all means DO RESEND THOSE SERVICE BOOKS! Many of us do it automatically every time we mess with the OS so sometimes the obvious solutions are missed. Thanks for this post!!!

The one I have been using is forward the email and just put a letter in front of a link and it becomes clickable.

OK, I resend the service books and this is what I get..

I am working in this same issue right now. I actually had it working at one point, but at some point in configuring my phone dealing with other issue this one cropped up after I know it was working.

Have you guys tried a battery pull?

Some links work now like a link from circuit city would work, but if I sent a link like blackberryos.com it would be blacked out like the rest of the email message.

I have the same problem. Did wipe twice installed os .328 twice. resent service book several times, pulled battery 5 times after each of the installs. Tried all of the above suggestions. nothing. it shows the link but it is not clickable.

Are there any other new ideas for this problem?

My phone also has this issue. Currently running V10, and a batterypull fixes it for 1 view of an email, but after that, the link disappears again until the next battery pull.

RIM has been having some outages through the different parts of North America since the evening of the 16th. It effected quite a few people, apps not downloading, links not opening and such. Its finally starting to smooth out.

I was having the same issue earlier, but now I am able to access things that were not available. I was activating a 8330 warranty phone, the third one, and thought I had another bad phone.

I've been having the same problem off and on now since I loaded .328. I've pretty much given in to it until the next build to see if there is a fix for it. When it does crap out on me, all I have been doing is copying the link and pasting it into the address bar on the browser.

Just loaded Lyrc's .351 hybrid.. issue is still there. major pain :crazy:

Back to .230/.323 for me.. again

I also have the same problem. To resolve it I just copy the link and paste into the browser. Annoying though
