Thread: 9530 'touch' acts as a 'click'

hi BBOS

me and my bro have two storm 9530 from verizon
i recently upgraded my storm to 5.0.0.238 from 191 and im loving it
my bro has been with the latest but official OS
but he wanted the .230 so i upgraded his and everything was fine.
after a few days the storm's 'touch' was acting as a 'click' like the iphone
at first it was quite cool, but after a while, especially for texting and scrolling, this thing has been a problem.
have tried a couple of reboots, but hasnt helped.
did this happen to anyone else?
and also, the device was replaced to a new one cuz he lost it so i dont think its a hardware problem, although it may be.

That describes what happened to my original Storm and I had to get it replaced because when I touched (not pressed) the screen would click a bit. Mine was only in one corner, is this happening all over?

yea and it is also inconsistent
when i touch and hold in a sms, it keeps typing and my typing speed is down to half

That sounds like hardware to me. Anyone else have any ideas?

Frist back up the device, then i would do a device wipe and then reinstall. try that....
