QuickPull Pro & Meterberry- 5.0.0.323

I tried to get both QuickPull Pro and Meterberry to work with 5.0.0.323 - which overall runs extremely well. However Quickpull and Meterberry will not run with this OS. I beleive the problem is related to not being able to set all Interaction Permissions to Allow. There is one permission (Secuity Timer Reset) that is set to Deny. There doesn't seem to be any way to change this permission to Allow.

I am on a BES server (private subscription, not company controlled). I thought this might be something that the BES Adminstrator would have to change, but the response that I received from them is that this is not contolled at the server level.

A) If you are not on a BES server, is this option available for you to select either Allow or Deny?
B) Is this a permission contolled somehow by RIM (or Verizon)?

Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appeciated.

I don't have an answer to your two questions, but more than likely the issue are the apps themselves. Meterberry doesn't work with any 5.0 OS, and QuickPull had some sort of update, but still doesn't work with 5.0.

I have MeterBerry working on 5.0.0.323. But I don't have Quick pull working.

MeterBerry works for me, except for doing a device reset. Permission For Cross Application Communication. But it's set to Allow. And the one you cite is changeable on my system.
Apparently QuickPull has a similar problem.
.323 is an awesome OS, even with this problem.

Same here. They both work, just not the Reset Device part. Same with Quicklaunch Reset Device, not working.

Anyone have a link or Cod files for meterberry? I only have 1.4.5 in my backup files. Ever since I installed 5.0, the only way I can download quicklaunch is thru a link or cod files and it seems I'm having the same problem with meterberry. Keep getting error msg saying "you've already downloaded this software".

QuickLaunch 2.15.0 that i downloaded today works perfectly with .323....even resets the device!!!

Confirmed that new version of QL DOES reset phone. i am on 5.0.0.323 on storm. Also has a few new options that i see. Version is 2.15.0 for storm

These 3 apps cannot be launched by QuickLaunch, however if they are currently running QuickLaunch will bring them to the foreground. So you must still start these from an icon and then you can use QL to 'launch' them to the foreground.

* QL Options Menu Redesign

* Auto-Backup
If you haven't backed up using QL Backup / Restore it will check and do it for you.

If you wipe your device or uninstall QL and reinstall it later it will now check for the backup file (text file on sd card or device) and if found will place the activation code in the registration screen. You will still have to MANUALLY USE THE QL RESTORE feature to restore your configuration.

So far it is actually better than the previous version.......playing with some of it now.....flashlight function is kinda nice as now you do not need any 3rd party apps.

All default permissions must be to allow. i just did it 3 times in a row. LOL

Can anyone else verify if it does or doesnt?

Mine didn't work either at first. Go and set all core app permissions to allow. That should fix it.

I have done it 6 times within an hour.....then did a batt pull and tried it again just to be sure and it worked.

***Sorry*** Just realized this thread is not in the .323 findings.....sorry for 'hijacking'. Pls move it if needed/rqst'd.

it works flawlessly, thanks for that tip. I just did 3 resets in a row without a problem

Quicklaunch Lite works for me. I set all permissions to allow, then before saving, i went in and changed all the DEFAULT permissions to allow, then saved. The only bug i still get, is the automatic restart wont work, just gives a Please Wait... bar that stays till a bat pull. if you actually click Restart Now, it will restart the phone like normal. Still looking for a place to turn the auto selection off, but dont see one on the lite version. hope this helps!

can't find reset feature

I can't seem to find the command to reset on quicklaunch how do I access this feature? could someone give me a walk through I would appreciate it greatly Thanks I never even knew quicklaunch could do a reset or at I didn't pay attention to this fact until now, the 5.0 update 4 tomorrow has me saying "uh ow" so please help i you can thanks again

i have the old quickpull free and it works fine even resets device.
What I did was options/applications/edit default permissions set all to allow.
did a battery pull and next time i tried it worked fine just remember when you get to the reboot now screen click reboot now, the reboot later button will hang the phone.
