Thread: Help with Camera

I had OS 4.7.0.151 installed and suddenly my camera stopped working and i received this message "Could not start the camera.Close other applications. and try opening the camera again". I reset the device, removed the battery etc... and nothing happened.
Then I installed OS 5.0.0.230 and the camera starts but i only see "noise" on the screen and if I try to take a picture the phone restarts.

I hope someone can help me with this issue.

When you loaded 230 did you wipe the phone prior or did you do 230 over 151?
If you did not wipe, I suggest you backup your data and apps then do a full wipe and reload 230 from scratch.

I had the same thing happen to a 8310. If a wipe and reload do not fix the problem I believe you have a hardware issue.

I have the same issue with my daughters storm. I have wiped 3 times installed 2 new hybrids and its the same my only conclusion is its a hardware issue. Im going to verizon with it today.

just to let people know having this problem... check out this thread http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/b...ghlight=camera as well I had to get this phone replaced due to this.. I tried a ton of things nothing worked.
