google voice for the storm

i just got my google voice number, google just got 1 million new numbers so i ended up getting one

so i got the app going but when i make a phone call from google voice from my storm its dailing a local access number instead of using my 3g network?

is there a way to use my internet from the storm to place calls? or lake of wifi causing it to dail a semi local access number to place the call?

I'm not really sure how that works I also have it and tried it a few times.
Dials a number ( I put the number on my favs so it doesnt cost anything)
I was assuming it dialed over the internet also I would like to know the answer to this question myself.

Sorry but it's not VOIP. It uses voice minutes that's one of the reasons its free.
