i am sending back a device with .114 v3 on it how do i downgrade it to .75 so no trouble or wipe with jlcmdr

I would just do the following. From your phone, options - security options - general settings, hit BB button - click wipe handheld. The downgrade to .75

k thank you one more question while i have you.....how do i restore my 3rd party apps...i did the device switch thing saved the file but how do i get them on new phone

In DM select restore then choose the .alx associated with your 3rd party backup. Then all your 3rd party apps will reload.

check out the help section from my signature and you will see sticky's and other threads to take care of it.
I made some videos for a few of the instruction threads so it should be easy to follow

did that didnt work is it cause i havent upgraded to .114 v3 yet?


i dont have an alx just ipd and cab???do i need to turn old phone back on and redo or am i a tard

did you choose restore from the DM?

If so then that's the wrong place.

you need to go to DM, application loader, browse, find the .alx file you have saved

and stand by

lol jk and if you listen to wmms outta cleveland, oh you will get that

edit and still no alx just ipd and cab.....i didnt wipe old device yet sooo bonus points for me what do i need to do to get an alx?

If you already backed up 3rd party apps from your PC go to search all folder, type in your PIN number. It should then find a folder and an .alx file with your pin number. Drag those file to the desktop or somewhere trusty. then you will be able to reinstall from that.

Oh, i'm sorry, did he say he had it already? I thought he had, & then said how does he make the alx again?

Yeah he backed up already but just couldn't find where the ALX was. I was just pointing out to him how to find it since it's hidden in the bowels of the computer.
