Thread: Need Some Help Please with my Storm

Well I have been running .230 for about a week or so and I need some help if there is some... From time to time the screen goes blank and I can't get it to come back on unless I pull the battery. It's like the phone goes into sleep mode and I am not pressing the right button to bring it back...

Second thing is with using the supplied stereo headphones I use to could push the button and say a name for the voice dialing. Now when I press the button the music starts... If there a fix for either one or both of these problems.. Other than that I am loving the new OS..

1st about the sleep mode no clue.. about the headset its not press.. its press and hold that i have experienced over time.. hope that solves that at least

Hmm i have had .230 on my storm for some time and i haven't had this problem, but i am sure one of the GREAT Mods here will help you :-)

The first problem is a known issue with the past few builds of 5.0

I have found that if I press the end button a few times, or press and hold the end button it will wake it up. If that doesn't work then battery pull is the only solution.

The second issue I don't know what to say...

I do concur with that, I myself had part of this issue. I also have heard reports of others having this issue.

The second part of your inquiry makes me thing that you have the very first leaked verison of .230 on your phone with out the VAD(voice activated dialing) or you ran shrink a os on the version you have and removed it. Now you can A) wipe and reload your os which I would suggest to help with the first issue you are having or B) find the .cod for the VAD and install them let me know if I can help any further.

The second part i haven't heard, nor do i listen with the stock headphones so i can't help out, but the first one like some have said, it's a known problem. For me personaly, if i let the phone sit for a min or two and then press the bb button (or which ever button u press to turn on the phone) the phone will work fine. It's happened a few times to me.

not sure about the wake up thing but as for the headset issue, go to the options menu>Screen/Keyboard and find out what you have set for "convenience key" .
